Last candled on Thursday and all are active. I'm going to wait until Thursday (lockdown day) to candle again.

I have to watch how many I have because I live in town. I hate it. My horse lives in the counrty and I have to live in town.

I do too and I hate it. I'm not supposed to have any roosters, and I am only allowed 15 chickens over 4 months of age, 50 chicks under 4 months of age. I have a 2 acre yard though, I could fit bunches of them and they'd still have tons of room. I do plan on keeping about 20, but most of my chickens and ducks are itty bitty, so they only count as 1/2 each. The only neighbor within 200 feet of my coop has said he doesn't mind roosters. I do keep them in a kennel covered up until 8 a.m., 9 on weekends to keep him from crowing until a reasonable hour. Did it with my parrots, so I figure it's ok for roosters, they don't seem to mind. It makes me want to just start building pens though, and getting pheasants and quail and other "aviary" birds that I can have as many as I want of.

I'm hoping so. The hatching eggs will be my first. I'd like Silky ducks too, but eventually they'll live in the house and my family will live in the run... too many ducks!
