QJ, I stopped those calls YEARS ago with a simple sure my hourly rate is $________ they would pause and go, but..... I would respond with but yes my time is worth something, buttes I am busy, but yes I have a life and a family just like you.


We have been hatching the most amazing variety of EE chicks recently from our flock. Blues and creams and rusty reds and lavender. Cute little buggers.

1 more week to go on the Emu eggs, we have 6/6 wiggling when they get turned. Hoping they all hatch for their owners. Will be a tough lockdown with not getting to see inside the darn eggs at all. Been a very long 50 days by the time we get to next week.

Paint fumes were gone from the "red room" as we call it on the second floor. So allow the incubators made the move from the laundry room up there. With the exception. Of the one with the goose hatching in it. Will move it after that bird finally gets out.

I was swindled. I was asked to be the babysitters back-up. No big deal right? It's 3 times a month. Totally swindled. TOTALLY. I feel like a shmuck.

3 yr old, 1 yr old (mine) and now a 4 month old baby.

I'm mad. I'd say another word that starts with a P but it will get blocked out. LOL.
