Chicken was a no go! She wasnt mean but wouldnt let him under her so she went outside.
So 10 babies in brooder inside. In my room. Talk about noisy, its gona get cold tonight and they arent totaly dry but there were too many babies in there
Riley i keepin close watch.

Did you have a fun time at the con? I had hoped to be in Seattle for Norwescon (also this weekend) but budget and hatching schedule wouldn't allow it.

Silver passed this afternoon

but i am loving scotch more and more as the days go by

and babies are still hatching in my chicken bator

only 2 of my own eggs haven't done anything yet but i could feel them tapping

Not pipped internally, but they are working the membraine hard, I can see it.



Today is day 28, if you count day put in as day one. I'm probobly gonna peek inside, but not until tonight. I'll look again then.

But that is just me & I am sure someone will"correct" me

Me too. The only thing I do different is a cool them off for 5 or 10 minutes in the evening. (starting on day 7) But I've only hatched the one, lost one and this one in my bator is internally pipping now.. So my experience is slim.

I just candled my eggs, from my ducks, and THEY'RE FERTILE!!!!!!

4 Ancona and 2 mallard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 are not, but they were probably the oldest 2 there. YAY!!!!
