Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Qj this hatch deffinately did. 15 of 17 eggs
Great hatch rate (i blood ringed early on and one died hust b4 hatch im guessing)
Still have 3 iffy babies tho . Yolk not quite absorbed on 2. One out but weak
One in cup so he stays upright
And one just in there to dry.
The rest are piled ontop of eachother in the bator
One little guy has a big set of lungs im guessing he keeps getting pushed outa where he wants to be so hes screaming on and off
Lol. I hate it when they do that.. makes me worry someone will suffocate or get squished.

Yes it's the only place in town I could buy Royal Palms without buying at least 20

Qj im more worried about the ones in the bator still
The brooder babies are vigerous enuff to get out of the pile if they want

True. If they're still hanging on tmw that will be a real good sign. You know how ducklings always kinda look real weak and then all the sudden they're fine. Fingers crossed!

Thats wonderful QJ!
I can't get over how excited I am to finally hatch my own eggs!

Tell me about it. I know what you mean! I just hatched out 3 Royal Palms for a friend and I'm having turkey envy right now. They are so cute and sweet. And this is the breed I want.

BTW: Just for fun I candled my eggs from PR tonight. OMG. I don't see how these are going to hatch. They have air cells all over the place, look like scrambled eggs inside with little air bubbles everywhere. I've never seen anything like it.
I put them in an egg carton in the bator. I figure.. what the heck. Might as well try it and see what happens. But I almost threw out 2 that are nothing but yellow and air. I'm so disappointed.

Luckily my own eggs were fertile so I was able to restore my good mood.
