Eggs aren't smooshed. We shall see.

Those Lavender Bantam Ameracauna eggs are so TINY!

I don't check them until day 7. Everyone gets a chance.

It's probably bad practice, but I want to believe they're all viable. It's like the X-files... I WANT TO BELIEVE!

I've never seen a silkie chicken egg. They are bigger than the eggs in the birds nest by our back door (in my hanging basket, nonetheless).
=)
you thought you could sneak it past uf
but we of corse must see this birthday crested something or another
Haha. Yes, I will take camera upstairs and snap the birthday crested whatever-it-is.

The brand new Crested Whatever It Is duckling:

The Not Crested Whatever It Is duckling:

The crested is probably a swedish, the other one has brownish patches, but doesn't walk like a runner. Feed store said the box was marked "mixed ducks" when it arrived.

Hi guy's it has been awhile since I could get back.
I got my NPIP certification paper work today!!!!!! Ya, I now legal in MN to sell hatching eggs and chicks! I hatched out a crested or tufted Rouen out of my Blue (Bob) drake and I just noticed that I have a semi crested female. Her crest isn't real good but the baby has a great one. Will try and get a picture sometime today. I have been trying to see everone's breeding pens but it seems like no one show's them. Is there a page that would show them for ducks and chickens?

Good luck with that

you know you couldnt resist if they had just what you needed
Luckily, they had everything but what I wanted. Me and the baby got to take a nice road trip by ourselves though, so it was worth it for the peace and quiet.

They are cute...whatever they are! lol

The last 2 silkies are in the dryer. My last little butterscotch baby is still attached to the egg, and looks herniated. Not sure...never had a baby look quite like this. I moved it to the dryer just now, in a container, to see if it will help it to shrink. Was hoping moisture would help, but no go. I've kept it in a container so it didn't yank the shell off too early and bleed out. Don't know....
