Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Thanks, guys!! We just finished our 30 minute outside play time. The girls had a blast and crashed right out when I put them back in pen.

Sue, nice coop set up!!

Julie, how to manage to hatch so many females? Wish everyone had that kind of luck! Don't think you will have any problems finding a boy. They are a dime a dozen here.

Quackers, his 4th wedding? Did you attend the 1st three? If so, stay home! Tell them you promise to attend the 5th wedding instead.

I don't know. 4 of the 5 are from Celtic's eggs, so ask her, lol.
Getting ready to go outside and spend some time with my gander. He'll be leaving for his new home tomorrow.

I've decided a gander is just too much for me to deal with with my kids and mixed flock, so I'll just be keeping my 2 girls. The good new is, he will be going to Psue and Jerry, so I'll still be able to keep tabs on the little brat.

Sorry I haven't been on much today. The turkeys are finally outside

. The "Special one" is doing better but not great. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with it long term. Also I found a great source for my excess egg problem. The Wolves

. I gave them a few raw and they LOVED them.

Haha, he was married to number three when I got together with hubby. I think he's attended all but the first which was in Canada. I'd really like to stay home, but I think hubby's itching for a road trip (meaning: road trip with me driving).

Awwww Julie, sad for you but you could not ask for a more perfect home for your gander!!

Kevin, hope your turkey continues to improve and can have a normal life.

Quackers, I dunno.... these are your bday silkie eggs... did you explain THAT to your hubby??

One more barrage of pics....

He bought them. Maybe if I get a cigarette lighter adapter, I can take the hatcher with us. He doesn't seem to understand that they might NEED HELP.

Hey guys. I'm hoping someone can help me with a new problem that has come up. My grey Seb goose has decided to bite her cohorts. She has begun to bully and bite the other 3 sebs and the two young grey Toulouse. They have been together since I got them almost a month ago. Why would she suddenly start this? She just walks up and (usually) grabs the wingtip of whoever she wants to and hangs on and they just cry and cry. It's really upsetting me. Should I try to separate her? Will she stop? I push her off as much as I can but I can't be with them 24/7. Help!

My brown Chinese did this when I first introduced the White Chinese geese. It lasted about 3 weeks but it eventually just stopped. Never really found out why she went for the wing tips. I always though she was just a scrapper like her Mama

Isolate her for 24 hours, then reintrodcue. If that doesn't work, stick her with a bigger goose alone, if you have one. That'll help her learn her place. If she persisits, you may need to be sure she's getting enough protein. That can effect them. How old are they?
