My ducks are hatching just fine! 5 are out and I can see at least 4 or 5 more that will be out overnight.

Hi everyone, what are you all up to this evening?

I only had to assist with one duckling who was shrink wrapped. I knew he was going to suffocate or die of exhaustion. He is out now, obviously a little weaker than the others. He has some bits of dried membrane stuck on him, but that will come off with some warm water when he goes into the brooder.

They are starting to get a little fluffier. I will continue to let them rest. Will definitely post pics when I get them into the brooder box!

Well hatch day has come to an end.....

I hatched 28 out of 29 Turkeys that went into LD !

I lost 2 Ohiki that didn't make the pip

& 1 didn't develop.... But I hatched 12 purdy little peeps out of 15

I also ..... drum roll...... ALOT Shitload of Pekins !!! 74 went into LD & 68 Hatched

THEN the realization into play

I also just hatched my own 6 Cayugas ~

MY HATCHER WAS PACKED ~ Ask Christine she saw it too!!!

Get one of those magnifying lamps for crafting and fly tying. Made it so much easier. Still not sure if I'm that accurate, will see soon.

It's not that I can't see, I just can't get the hang of holding the duckling the right way.

Yep, I don't see how you could have packed another egg in there.

I looked up the Ohiki chickens. They look pretty cool. I didn't realize they were long tails.
