Wrapping for angel is impossible. If you remember, it took me 3 weeks to get it right. And in the end, he lost those feathers and the new ones are growing back perfect.Just came in from checking up on all of the birds. I don't know what went wrong but the angel wing wrap went terrible. I tripled check yesterday to make sure that it wasn't too tight which is why I wasn't surprised that the other wrap fell off. Now all of the birds wings are puffy and full of blood. I'm guessing somehow it was still too tight. I feel terrible now. I took everyone's wrap off and they are now recovering. I just hope I didn't do permanent damage.![]()
Yes they are!
I love these little guys.
I can remember when I was a small boy a duckling was late hatching out of his egg under my porch. His mama left him and he ended up seeing me first. Took care of him that entire summer until he wandered out to the pond to live with his brothers/sisters.
I can see dramatic improvements with the 2 I have in the bowl already.
I let them swim again and their legs look much straighter. They just need to gain some strength so they can start walking
I hope everyone else's ducklings are happy and healthy.
Just an increase. More corn will do it. I just know that its fat soluable, and if you don't have enough fat, it won't absorb or stay long enough to be useful. Just more that your using now. I mean, you can use corn, you can offer fatty scraps I suppose, peanuts, anything that has fats or oil, and maybe 20% more, and see if it effects a result withen 48 hours, standard time for nutrients to absorb into lymph system. How much of a fat boost are we talking?

See Marty your much more knowledgeable than you give yourself credit for! I think I have a few items like that I can try to add to it's diet.![]()
*take n notes* Hey Marty? Have you butchered any of your chickens this year? The one we did was super leanJust an increase. More corn will do it. This is my current brood box setup. These two are recovering with their legs taped up. Each one has his own cup to sit in. My mom made them this duck buffet so they can eat and drink on their own.
They are isolated from the others in a clear tub so they don't feel too left out. The others would trample them and use up too much of their energy. The water is vitamin supplement. They have figured it out and I am hoping for a speedy recovery.
Check out this picture haha
