Sorry about your loss Kevin.
Congrats on the new girl MissLydia. Can't wait to see pics. 2 geese are so fun to watch interact. I'm sure your gander will love her. My gosling was raised with ducks and turkeys, so she still mostly hangs out with them but now that she's gotten older she's been spending more and more time with my other goose.
Hi Jaz! I'm starting to get itching to get my incubator up and running. Now that I think the 100+ degree temps might have broke for awhile maybe I'll actually get some eggs form my girls. The 3 call eggs I've got so far didn't develop, and now the brats are molting but I should have EE's laying soon.
Marty- Beautiful geese.

One of my runner duckling's ended up being crested. Since they are pretty much just for eggs and for company for hubby's park rescue drake I'm ok with it although crested ducks aren't really my thing. I do have to admit that poof is growing on me and pretty cute the more I see it though.

I am loving my d'uccles. They are the sweetest little chicks. I ended up rehoming the khaki drake to jerry and paulla's freezer drake pen. He was picking on the calls and since he's so much bigger hurting them pretty bad. Everyone's happy and getting along well now, thankfully. The recovering magpie call hen, odd guy out gray drake, runner girls, and d'uccles are happily sharing an around 6' x 10' pen. I'll start introducing the runner girls in another few weeks to everyone else, but I think I'll be keeping the call pair in there now with the d'uccles. The magpie girl likes the peace and quiet, I tried letting her out when she'd healed and she just tried all day to get back in. And since the gray drake doesn't have a gray girlfriend yet, she'll do for now.

Hi Julie!

Hi! OMG, love your avatar. I have a pic of me when I was about 5 that looks a lot like it, lol. My grandma had a parakeet that would fly to come share breakfast with you. He came, landed on my head which freaked me out a bit and she snapped a pic.

Can you post pics of your anconas & sebbies? Are you selling adult anconas

Hi Jaz - the Anconas are about 5 months old. It's really hard to get pictures of the ducks because they move around so much! Unfortunately, some of my daughter's favs are not the best marked ones, but they will be staying. :) We are keeping "Pickles" the one that is almost all white and "Lucky" the one with the crooked bill. I'm also keeping the blue duck and the black drake.

This is either a chocolate or a tricolor drake - not sure which. There was discussion over on the Ancona thread about exactly what a tricolor is. This guy has black markings on his head and neck, chocolate everywhere else.

Christine.... Sorry you are thinking of selling your sebbies you just bought

I know. I really like them, but I've just been thinking about how busy I am. I have too much going on. I really like my birds, but I also want to spend more time riding (which I haven't done in ages!) and I want to get a Pointer puppy. My house feels pretty empty now that my Lab and Pointer are gone. My Golden Retriever is lonely in the house all day my herself.

I also feel like I need to spend more time with my daughter. I can always get more critters later, but I can't turn back the clock and spend more time with my kiddo. I'm gone all day at work, then come home and take care of all the animals (horses, dogs, ducks, geese, chickens, parrotlet). By the time I get in for the night, it's usually around 8:00 or later. I'm not selling all of the birds, but I do need to reduce the numbers so they don't take up so much of my time. I would never give up my horses and dogs, so...some birds have to go.

Here are some pics I took with my phone of the Sebbies. The first two pics are the gander (he has some dirt on him - they are both all white), the second two pics are the goose. I'm hoping my mother-in-law will buy them from me so I can still go see them (and I could hatch eggs when I have more time).

Beautiful geese Christine, I went today and picked up my Toulouse girl, she is a bit under weight and was in need of a bath but here she is,
