Three 5 day old chicks, same breed, can a disease be carried in shell?

I posted earlier about one, and then the second. I now have a third doing it and wondering if it is something they carried in shell? They are all from stock I had shipped in (eggs) but all of mine are healthy and fine. Is there something that can be hiding out with the hatchlings?

Symptoms, lethargic sitting still, then flipping head back/out/twisted flipping them on to their back, wings going at strange angle. If someone is holding them after they flip their head they seem to have to leap or jump, like they are choking.

They are 5 days old, New Hampshire Red Bantams, completely fine until this morning.

yes , i heard disease can be carried through the shell but i dont know what ones , sry cant help you more.

Avian encephalomyelitis can be passed from hen to egg--if you hold the chick on its back in your cupped hands and it tremors--this moves up the list. It can spread to the other chicks.

Encephalomalacia from vitamin E deficiency can also do this. Vitamin B deficiency and, of course, incorrect humidity and temperature settings in the incubator or in transit can affect chick development as well.

At this point, the treatable are the vitamin deficiencies. Irreversible damage can occur, so even if a few don't respond, don't give up.

And you said it can transfer? These three were in with the rest, should i put some vitamins in with them?
