I’ve got an old buff Orpington, a silver Phoenix and a silky that have all gone broody at the same time. This is the second time this month. We put them in “time out” all together for five days. It seemed to work the first time, but they were back at it three weeks later. Should we separate them if this happens again?

I don't think separating them will help. They are all naturally broody breeds so breaking them isn't going to prevent them becoming broody again (and again).

We have an Orpington who will lay 10 eggs then go broody for 6 weeks, take 4-6 weeks to recover, lay 10 eggs and go broody again. I leave her to it because it's more trouble than it is worth to break her. She layed through winter for her first 3 years because she was so broody during her summers though so that was awesome.
