Based on seeing the female place half the egg shell in front of her at 11:25, we can be certain the first chick has hatched. I have a photo at 8:21 this morning of the egg with a pip hole so know it was still in the egg at that time. We can only guess that based on the behavior of the female not letting the male take her place at 11:15 that either the egg had already hatched or was in the process.

Do you all see the baby? Looks like the baby is hungry. I wonder if it can eat starter/grower or gamebirdfeed?

I think it won't be long till feeding time!

I think it will prefer sushi....

what a great shot of baby! No doubt Mr. Reese was able to get some great photos. He himself said "it doesn't get any better than that"
