I've seen some of that here on BYC too.

My coops every spring do an Alpha swap though. The Betas will challenge the Alphas to fights to win their place as flock Alphas. I have multiple Roosters, & multiple hens, so I pretty much let them run the flocks like JungleFowl would do in the wild. But instead of them being wild, & avoid me they're tame, & allow me to pick them up, & stuff like that.

That one tail feather hanging down is funny! Do heritage barred rocks have different barring than hatchery quality, or am I mistaken? He is pretty!

Not sure if I posted how large my Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock Rooster is, but here he is.

He's quite big!

Just a comment: Barred is the color, Plymouth Rock is the breed. The color name is supposed to come before the breed name, not in the middle of it. So he would be a Heritage Barred Plymouth Rock (slightly different order of words.)

Their Barring is more sharp, & Crisp then what hatchery quality Barred Rocks have. Plus they're overall alot larger.

Correct! Nothing big but I hear it "Plymouth Barred Rock" all the time.
