I have a Buff Orpington that is halfway done molting, & she has a Solid White feather on her shoulder. Is this a Quality issue, or a hidden gene?

That trait is very common, so I’d assume it isn’t a hidden gene.

I'm still unable to reintroduce Goober to the flock. He lost the battle to earn his place back again. The Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock Rooster thinks he's big boss now. Dino is still Alpha, & doesn't mind Goober rejoining.

But I have an idea of how I can reintroduce Goober.

Goober is back in the coop, with a couple cockerels who need to relearn their places. At least those boys aren't that bad. They're gonna be getting butchered soon anyways, so they're not gonna be around much longer.

The Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock Rooster is in the small prefab coop, to let Goober regain his status, so the pecking order can be reset once I reintroduce the Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock rooster.

Pea, is still going strong with her egg laying. Just waiting to see if she goes broody. Hopefully she inherited that trait. If not, I'll be restoring that trait, since her great grandmother was a Broody girl.
