Further detail of father, daughter breeding: they're gonna be bred for 1-2-3 generations at most to help lock in traits. I'm gonna use line breeding for the offspring produced. So, I'll be breeding their offspring, back to them.

Afterwards I'm gonna breed in some Malay to add more leg length neck length, comb type, running, & jumping abilities.

Details on Black Sumatra being added.

(Disclaimer, the Sumatra Rooster being used for the project is highly human aggressive, I know the aggression is hereditary, so this part is high cull. Ridding any aggressive cockerels from the equation)

Gonna breed Black Sumatra to Malay, & the Cracker hens for about 5 Generations to preserve the long tail, hackle, & Saddle feathers, long legs. Culling any Human aggressive cockerels.
Pullets are gonna be kept, depending on body type, feather type, & leg length.

The Add ons for the Project are Easter Eggers for Blue Egg gene, & beard. Gamefowl Cross to help keep Gamefowl body type, he'll also help preserve the white/pink skin I want for the breed.

The add ons will create more culls along the way, until I can refine the breed into the final product.

My Strain of Indio Gigantes will be bred in somewhere in the middle if not bred to each of the base lines.

I've been reading, but not commenting - I don't understand the breeding as well as I should, and tend to do most of my reading in the AM while sipping coffee. Its not good for retention, sadly. I'm an addict, basically nonfunctional w/o.



Slowly, its sinking in, since I'm doing some line breeding myself - or at least, allowing it to occur.

Agree aggressive culling to expunge the aggression will be a real need here. Wonder how you will address behavior changes in the males as dynamics cchange due to cullings? I've heard previously docile males can change significantly once a dominant aggressor is removed from the flock.

Oh, okay.

That is one thing I've never had an issue with, is docile males turning aggressive once I removed aggressive males from the flock. Usually I see peace being restored. So, I don't see much of an issue there.
