Red shoulder patches are a common feature on roosters. I believe I've seen that boy once.

My Heritage Plymouth Barred Rock rooster is back in the coop now, & looks like he's done being a jerk to Goober. Sometimes they need a timeout for awhile.

We either freeze the whole bird(Butchered of coarse), or can them in jars for soup. First boy is skinny, not very meaty in the breast, so he's getting canned, the other boy is very meaty, & may end up as a roaster.
