All temps in the 40s next week. We got lots of snow yesterday, so abit longer before I begin the build the coop/start the project.

Had my two Malay cockerels out with Pea today, & neither of them could whoo her over .

She's just a very picky lady. Eventually one, or the other will be able to breed her.

I may get a video with the next pairing of them. Right now I'm working on getting them used to each other. Not officially breeding yet.

The Splash Wheaten Malay cockerel was the most determined, did alot of dancing.

Put the boys with Pea again, they still failed to whoo her.

If the Malay boys don't succeed in breeding her when it comes to the project, I may have to use AI on them.

When it comes to breeding the Malay Sumatra crosses, I'm gonna do it two ways. I'm gonna cross Malay Rooster to Sumatra hen, & Sumatra Rooster over Malay hen. See which of these performs better.

I should probably do a Sumatra EE crossing too, but may hold that off for next year, but I'll see. I want to make sure the Blue Egg gene is present.

Or I can add another round of EE to a couple of the other crosses. Didn't think of that.
