So... we just bought a property that came with a dozen chickens. I never had any intention of owning chickens, but here we are!

What breeds do you have?

I have no idea! I'll have to see if I can post some pictures and maybe you guys can tell me what I have lol. They're, um... brown ones and black ones lol

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I did a google search for a question I had about chicken care and this site came up, it looks like an awesome resource.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We bought the property because we have horses, and I also have a puppy I'll be starting in agility soon.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Not much exciting to share... three horses, two chihuahuas, a full time job, and a new little farm keeping me busy!

Glad you're here CoverTune!

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it! :D
