Tim, your attention is requested....

Hello Dustin & Tim,
Thanks for your interest & I hope you can give me some fresh ideas.
I've been in Britain for the last 6 weeks & am packing to return to US, which we'll be doing tomorrow (via Keflavik, Iceland YAY). So am pressed for time.

The German Jubilee orps were made from Speckled Sussex. The type is nice but the size a tad small. So the logical place to start seemed also with Speckled Sussex.....but the only Speckled Sussex we could get were rubbish so we abandoned that plan & had to go with what we could. Our not quite reliable red orps & our mottled orps.
We've had rather a lot of disasters, which never help..... . I hope I can come back to this when I'm back in Minnesota.

Hi Krys,
I would also love to read (and see pics!) of your Jubilee Orp re-creation project.

BTW Buffy and Boo (Splash) are still about, 4+ years now. BettyBlue sadly died a good while back but left me 2 lovely daughters. Buffy has provided her genes to some interesting Buff Orp X Barnevelder crosses and backcrosses. Also have a pure Buff looking Jubilee Orp X Buff Orp hen from last year.

Got Jubilee Orps now too (rooster from GB, hens from R. Boven in Germany).

Your kind gift has left many traces, not just in my yard.
