Time for change

I'm so sorry for you!:hugsI know how terrible it is to lose pets you love and have grown attatched to, I just lost my wyandotte Blossom yesterday to a mystery predator and I loved her so much. Do you have any friends near where you live that would be interested in caring for them for you?

My first batch is leaving right now. It's been a really hard morning. To see them go, to see their panic when they were caught. I feel like I'm betraying their trust. I hope they have a wonderful life, better even than here, wherever it is they end up.

Sigh. Trying to take it one day at a time.

So sorry you're having to go through this. When we moved from FL to WY last year, I had to re-home my entire flock and it really is hard! I still miss them and even with the new flock I have now, they aren't the same.

I hope things go as smoothly as possible. You've given the best advice right in your post: "...take it one day at a time".

Best wishes :hugs
