Fix the crib to the wall, or the wall is going to get holes bashed in it. 4" is enough room for a determined 17 month old to do damage. BTDT.

GOOD IDEA! im way against having babies and children sleeping in mom and dads room. when my nephew was born my sister had him sleep in the bed with her hes 8 years old and is STILL trying to sleep in her bed every single night! shes ALWAYS fighting with him to go to sleep she will go to bed and he will climb in with her she puts him back in bed eveery night at 3am he wakes up and climbs in with her she puts him back to bed at 5 he does it again then again at 7am. i told her from day one not to let him sleep with ehr i told her once he was a year old to put him in his own bed i told her when he was 2 years old then 3 years old then 4 years old then when he was 5 years old she started complaining:/
