Tiny black spots...

Wonder if it is a chemical reaction during boiling + existing cracks or other shell issue, because from what I can recall every single time this comes up, it's always a photo of a boiled egg and the spots are revealed when peeling the shell.
Could be. Though I don’t think I have ever examined the interior of a shell when cracking a raw egg so I would have missed it if not boiling. Been so incredibly busy this week we have eaten almost nothing but New Year leftovers on the fly so haven’t touched an egg since boiling lol

Yesterday my husband fixed scrambled eggs for himself. When I was removing the membrane from the shell I found some spots on the inside of the shell. I have attached some pictures and hope they help in some way.

Not sure if this is the same issue or different (as boiling the egg in shell may be affecting the result, whereas this was a raw shell). This egg I would consume if the white and yolk looked good, but the black spotted boiled ones really remind me of mildew spots, which is what's so offputting I guess.

Some were asking about a fresh egg. When I had some to clean I paid particular attention to the interior of the shell.

My husband scrambled the eggs and said they were delicious.

I'd say it's different....looks like pigment spots in shell.

I’m wondering, has anyone who sells eggs, or gives them away...ever been told about this? If I bought eggs, that had black spots..I’d probably, at least ask about...to see if the chickens were dewormed, etc...
I tell my customers if they ever find anything weird or concerning to save the whole egg, shell and all, in a container in the fridge so I can try to figure out what/who is the problem. They already understand blood and meat spots.

I seriously doubt that the black spots in the hard boiled eggs in the Original Post are from worms.
