TINY egg

I kept thinking to myself how small quail eggs are...and thinking about how a quail egg is so small that it can't possibly go any smaller. I was proven wrong today.

They are so cute! I wonder whats inside...first fairy egg ever.

Probably just white. There might be a tiny yolk in there, but fairy eggs usually have just white and no yolk.

It had a tiny yolk, but it broke because I blew out the egg to preserve it. Pretty cool!

I got my first ever (8yrs) Fairy Egg earlier this month. Today I decided to "blow it out" thinking all I'd get is the white. There was a tiny yolk ... Ofcourse I'm keeping the shell. It came from Buff, one of my WTB ... I can tell the difference between the 2 WTB by the shape of their eggs, the brown is a BS. Fairy egg in the tsp and Buff's normal sized egg is the upper "blue".

Sounds pretty rare. I just recently got into chicken again, at the start of lockdown. So far no fairy eggs either!
