I recently bought a new bag of quail feed and found these tiny, almost translucent bugs crawling around in the food container I use. Any ideas on what kind of bugs these are? Are they harmful to my girls?

No pics but my guess is grain beetle or weevil larvae. I don't think they are harmful but I'd return it

Do return your feed as any bugs feeding on it depletes the nutrients, despite the fact that your birds may eat the bugs. I had grain mites in some chick feed recently. They looked like white dust until you looked close enough to see that they were moving.
