Tips and tricks

x2 - best tip would be to move them out soon, they're old enough to be weaning off the heat and your climate isn't overly cold.

With your coop photos, I don;t see any ventilation. Is there ventilation on the other sides that we can't see?
There will be! We just haven’t finished yet...the snow storm we just had kind of pushed us back.

but for weaning them off the heat, at 6 &7 weeks old, what if they start to huddle together like they’re cold? I don’t want to freeze them out but I feel like I may have to just turn off the lamp until they’re use to it.

currently, my sunroom is a pretty cold 53 degrees and their “coop” is 60. So I may be able to get away with just turning the lamp off

They're more likely huddling due fear of change ("where did the red light go?!!") rather than being cold.

Sounds good that the ambient temperatures are similar right now. That'd be the best way to ease their transition. Give them 5-7 days with no heat indoors so they can adjust (and so you can feel assured they won't turn into icicles) and then out they go.
