Tips on breaking broodiness

But wouldn't a broody go for eggs to sit on big time?
.....and she sits on a roost instead of a nest?
Well I did try relocating her to where I wanted her to sit, as opposed to where she wanted to sit, so that threw her a bit, the roost is in the broody box, I still need a wire bottom in it, though she's the only one that requires one, she would prefer a nest to a roost. I guess I wasn't clear or did I give all the details. I'm used to no one listening to me so I often mumble and omit things.

Yay, now wait three to four weeks and she'll be broody again.

That often????! I may have to find her another home if that's the case. She got everyone off kilter AS far as laying.

That could be a problem. I live in town and thus can't have rosters. We will see how often she gets Broody, otherwise she'll have to go to someone who wants a hen like her. Thanks!

Sorry, I wasn't clear, you don't need to breed her, I meant the breeding behind a hen can determine whether they will be broody or not, some lines seem more prone to it, others have it mostly bred out.
