'Tis The Season' Who likes fried green tomatoes?

SO GOOD! We use cornmeal down here too.

You can also take a green tomato and cut it up in your stewed squash and that is SO goooood!! I didn't really believe it until I tried it but I will put one in from now on.

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!! I love those things so much!!!! I do mine with egg/milk mix and cornmeal.....add some sugar and they turn out super crunchy. Salt until it almost kills you and I could eat them for days straight!!!

i dont like them but my gram used to make them for my grandfather and then make a gravy out of the pan bits. Oh that was tasty on a baked potato.

I was just talking about needing some FGT today... my mouth is watering now too

I have a ton o green maters in the garden right now, tis time to get fat...

(corn meal.buttermilk and fried in bacon fat if I have it)
