Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

Soooo I candled all of my eggs (7 Icelandic, on day 7; and 7 silkie, on day 5) last night... 6 developing Icelandics with 1 clear (busted yolk upon opening it up) and all 7 silkie are developing nicely so far. Fingers crossed they keep going that way... šŸ¤ž

on a completely random, unrelated side note, my parents stopped in to see the progress on these eggs, and while they were here, my dad was tickled pink that the goose let him scratch her neck. šŸ˜‚

Do you have a picture?
Leg 1 is turned inwards and I won’t extend that is the crinkled in one and the 2 is extended and that the one that the toes curl upwards imagine spreading your fingers as hard as you can where then almost then upwards at the ends. Sorry i can’t show the toes but now I already wrapped them

Splayed legs and curled toes.

Sometimes I've been able to fix them, sometimes not. Curled toes aren't as big of a deal as splayed legs. I had an adult with crooked toes and he lived a happy life. I had one with severe splayed legs and curled toes I finally had to put down. All you can do is give it a chance and hope for the best.
I don’t know if the legs are splayed what does that mean exactly. They aren’t able to function and the toes are extremely curled on one foot and extremely spread/ curled up on the second. Did you do anything at all or just let them alone. I can’t watch it suffer much longer. It’s crying so much...

Might want to make his a chick seat out of a cup so he can sit upright. Look around on here and you'll find some examples.

Hello I think this is what happened to me. I think I left him too long. I had to assist him and I think he’s crippled now. It’s been about 3 hours. One leg is crinkled in and one is pushed out almost the opposite as the toes curl up. He is unable to get up at all. Although he is trying extremely hard. I don’t know what to do.. will it be ok?
I made foot splints just now out of thin cardboard and vet wrap in attempt to spread his toes in the correct way for both feet. I’m so upset I should’ve helped him this morning but did not want to be too hasty. I’m so afraid that I will have to euthanize it, I’m going to be so upset if I have to do that.. what is your experience with the leg problems this one seems so so severe.
I'm not sure how to help splayed legs, but I had one on my first hatch that had curled toes and they straightened themselves out within 24 hours. Sometimes it just takes a little time for them to figure out their feet. I hope someone can help you with the splayed legs, though! Does anyone know if electrolytes/vitamins might help? Like sav-a-chick, hydrohen, or nutridrench?

Spayed means they go out to the side. I've not seen them curled up to the body like your guy. I've made chick shoes, wrapped the legs to they are in a natural position, and put in chick cups depending on the situation. I give vitamins too. Sav a chick brand mixed in water might do some good.

Do you think I should unwrap the feet I was just trying to help a little I saw help for splayed leg somewhere but it was where the chick was almost doing a split so they made it so the legs stayed lined up more. But I feel like it also can stand because of the toes. Could the ones with curled toes stand up? Or was it very severe
