Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I know there is a lady north of here in Tucson with Emu hatching eggs. I think her ad was on craigslist or facebook marketplace

If you happen to have their info, it’s worth one more try. I don’t have any social media accounts, but can give them a call. Going to sniff the eggs now, but I think they both went bad.

There is one egg still good in the incubator :fl

Thanks to wolfwalker, I’ll get some closer emu eggs hopefully next week. My sister lives right there and is up for the task.

Can’t have just one emu ;) Actually... at this point I’d be happy with one.

I'm still hoping this egg makes it for you, but I have a great feeling about carefully traveling with local eggs. Even with chicken eggs, the difference in my hatch experience when I drive 4 hours to pick up the eggs vs having them shipped, is night and day. I'm invested in your adventure now and I need you to have emus! lol

I hope that you're not spending a fortune on the eggs because that would make me angry.

Describe “fortune”... lol

My luck lately has been about as good as yours. Hoping it will turn around here in the near future!

Shipping emu eggs is difficult. Some people have luck, but the lady I get them through lives outside of the worst usps hub there is in Texas. If the box says fragile on it, I swear they throw it on the ground even harder. Wish they would catch the a**hats that do that.

Yeah I can't stand how they treat packages. They have one job to do... Apparently it's too hard 😒
