Sorry if I missed some messages or if I misunderstood the emu video but was the emu egg stinky because it died some time ago?
Missed messages?!?! You mean you more important things in life than a hatch-a-long?!

lol, you’re not allowed to do anything but chicken. That’s it!
Based on the size of the embryo, I’m guessing it was about a week old? Which would mean it died I little over two weeks ago. I put Fizzgig in the incubator 2/1. I’m sure over time bacteria takes over and grows like crazy in the egg and starts to smell BAD. I have yet to have a chicken egg go stinky so I can’t compare, but emu eggs get really stinky. Knock your socks off type stinks.
I just wish it was one of the other eggsFizzgig could have been white!
Oh, and these eggs have been set 2/16 at noonOk, I’m a bit confused. I tought You candle day 18 and transfer to the hatcher on day 19. Thats also what my hatchabatch app says znd as I recall it’s what I did the previous years. But now I started using Ichatch-chickens app and it’s letting me know I need to transfer them to the hatcher today (day 18).I’m on holliday. It’s a 40 minute drive home, so I could do it if really necessary but off course would rather not.
If they were set on the 16th, then they are halfway through day 11. Will you be gone another week? I think the app is confused, lol.Oh, and these eggs have been set 2/16 at noon
Sorry, typo, 2/10...If they were set on the 16th, then they are halfway through day 11. Will you be gone another week? I think the app is confused, lol.
I got a new one because the roll around one was too loud. I keep my incubator in my office and work @ home. Otherwise I was hand turning and was afraid I'd forget. I added a humidikit too and it's great! If you've ever had issues with humidity I highly recommend one. Our climate is so dry and humidity was always a major battle. That's what I was afraid of. My eggs are all shipped, with mostly slippery air cells. Maybe I should order a new turner for the Hovabator![]()
They'll be fine if you wait until you get home.Ok, I’m a bit confused. I tought You candle day 18 and transfer to the hatcher on day 19.
