I have one of those for 48 eggs and I am very happy with it, but I do have to leave the protective styrofoam it came in around it. When I do that it has a very stable temperature and I’ve had high hatching rates in it.Anyone know anything about this incubator?
I have a few amazon gift cards and I'm looking for something bigger then the little giant that I have. View attachment 2036972
Forgot to add this. Here's my organization skills I'm my incubator right now. Everything is separated. I also put in 3 more of the mini white eggsI'm torturing myselfView attachment 2037087
I did the same thing - and I have eggs in both, too!I need to get a couple of those baskets because I am about to do a staggered hatch...I bought 2 incuviews thinking I’d use one for incubating and one for hatching, but then I got too many eggs to make that possible, as both incubators are full.I think I might test out your method of stopping turning on day 14 and take my turner out today.
Are the chicks able to get out of the baskets after hatching?Forgot to add this. Here's my organization skills I'm my incubator right now. Everything is separated. I also put in 3 more of the mini white eggsI'm torturing myselfView attachment 2037087
I still have to turn my duck eggs, but not my chicken eggs. I'll stop the duck egg turning on day 21.I need to get a couple of those baskets because I am about to do a staggered hatch...I bought 2 incuviews thinking I’d use one for incubating and one for hatching, but then I got too many eggs to make that possible, as both incubators are full.I think I might test out your method of stopping turning on day 14 and take my turner out today.
No idea. I usually flip the baskets the other way, but I'm trying it this way this time. I'll find out when they hatch. I don't mind if they get out this time because they're the only chicks in my incubator. Are the chicks able to get out of the baskets after hatching?
Oh, ok. I made need to go to the store and get some plastic canvas to make chick fences. Or, I have boxes, I could cut cardboard instead. No idea. I wanted to separate the duck eggs in the ones that I have in the basket are the ones that I'm not spraying. Instead of wasting time looking at every egg for the marks I've made.
