Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

I lost at the last minute. THANK YOU, LORD. We are headed down to south ga for the weekend and I did NOT need a load of chicks showing up. It's hard enough to get your birds looked after without more new babies.

I would like to go ahead and confess that I did go ahead and bid on more.

Me too...but this is the last bid on my part...I think. lol, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a bunch of Polish eggs for inexpensive and this guy said I can pick them up!

Alright any ideas why I'm not getting notifications for this thread anymore? it's my fave thread and I'm getting major FOMO

Notifications can be hit or miss on BYC. Someone gave me the idea to check my "watched threads" list and they will be in bold writing if I haven't seen the most recent posts. That's how I'm staying up to date now.

Yeah, with so many wonderful people participating it's a very active thread. It can be dangerous to sleep in if you want to keep up. lol

Marans are slow to hatch, I wouldn't worry! You know it's getting oxygen and it's the first pip right?

@CluckNDoodle I was thinking of you today looking at my grow outs...two of my WTBs are a CLB/WTB cross. Look how adorable the brown one is she got a beard muff and crest! She has blue in her tail, too.

In other news, the hatched one (which appears to be a Legbar x Bresse), seems really vocally perturbed that I'm not scooping it out of the incubator and snuggling it. I'm gonna name it Billy Idol because it has bleach-blond-yellow down spiking up on the top of it head.

When you say first pip do you mean first egg to pip? I think it’s my lone survivor so I imagine it’ll be the only pip. And since it’s still alive I imagine it’s getting oxygen.
