Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

My other incubator has 17 silkie eggs in it. The are supposed to hatch on 3/19. I can't wait for these little ones.

Alright another question for all you 'eggsperts' my 3 eggs all hatched. 2 yesterday and the one silkie/easter egger mix today. Can I put the silkie/easter egger in with the other 2? We named her Pokey Jo, cause she took so long.

Yes of course! I don't start questioning adding new chicks until the older chicks are about 3 weeks old and play fighting. lol

Had to take a day off after the unfortunate situation with my chick last night. I ended up putting it down because it was suffering. Hope everyone’s hatches are going great. About to go catch up on the thread when I can!

I need to get my head back in the game. Candling and putting my Gypsy Hen eggs in the hatcher (day 17) and candling my 3rd batch of eggs for this month tonight (day 14). Going to pick up 2 dozen BBS Ameraucana eggs from Paul Smith lines a couple hours south of me on Sunday. And my 16 G-Bear Farms BCM eggs ship Monday. And my Sky Girl eggs should ship this upcoming week as well.

For free or to sell? I’ll probably have to begin selling to make it worth while having all these laying hens. Good thing I have 6 months before these newbies start laying.

My close friends and my in-laws get eggs for free, for everyone else it's $4 a dozen. I have aspirations of turning my old rabbit hutch into a cute farm stand. It has cute cedar shake shingles around the outside, and was made for wire cages to slide in, so the structure itself is still relatively clean (no rabbits have lived in it for nearly 10 years).
