I’m so upset with myself. Stupid clumsy oaf, I dropped my phone that I was using to candle my eggs and broke one of my only developing shipped eggs.

I need to get pics of my ducklings. They've doubled in size I forgot how fast ducklings grow. They're beasts. I picked up one of my silver ones last night and it wanted to cuddle my face.

My husband has been picking them up every morning before he leaves for work. His black one with the yellow markings is getting big! It was the runt.

I have a dozen Dominiques in my Chinese incubator and 8 of a mixed variety from my Swedish Flower roo and Barred rock, RIR, and BO hens(first time hatching my own eggs). How soon should I see development in these eggs, they are about 4 days in now. I normally don't take them out once in the incubator....

Oh no!!! That is sad... but it happens. Happens to hens too that they step on eggs... don't feel bad!

It's funny you guys are talking about having to homeschool. This was the first year my 15 year old went to public school after being homeschooled his whole life. Now this happened and he's back home for a while. My 12 year old was still home. Now he's having to get used to his brother being around during the day again.

I am just not cut out to share space with people. It's too people-y here. Now my husband has come home and wonders where to work. My advice was in a room with a door because that way I won't have to hear him sigh all day as he's on calls and also so he doesn't have to shush people all day.

We are going to be adjusting a lot.

I had one splash marans and 1 cream legbar girl hatch this morning.

Oh no, my mini7 temperature dropped to 96 degrees and I don't know how long it was at that temperature, are they going to be ok, 2 are on D20 and 3 on D12

My chick is zipping! It is cracking all the way around, but it looks pretty dry. It’s still moving and cheeping, but I added more water so we will see. Is this normal? He’s been at it since yesterday morning.

By dry do you mean just white and leathery, or do you mean turning yellow and brown? If the former and it's actively making progress, it's totally normal
