Almost looks like a slipped tendon? If it is, you have to fix it TODAY. Tendon of that leg has to be put back into place. There’s a groove it sits in. Only if the tendon is actually slipped. If you look at the good leg and the bad, is the tendon in the center in both?

Yes, Valgus deformity, that's what I was trying to remember. I've never dealt with it first hand so I'm not much help on that one though I believe it can be mended. A slipped tendon is also possible though.

It's ok, don't worry too much. In either case the chick can live a happy healthy life even if you can't successfully fix it. I raised a rooster with one functioning leg and he was just fine and the nicest rooster I've ever raised actually. I'm going to find a thread that I was recently discussing slipped tendons in and share the articles with you.

that’s after putting the tendon back in place.

My daughter slept with the baby in its “chair” and the next day the tendon stayed put. Don’t use the tape that we did though. Bandaid would be best. This is only if the tendon is slipped, which it kind of looks like it is. Or could be that deformity.

Mine looks even, not slipped to me. It looks like it’s more toward the hip. Will treating it like splayed leg work?
