Tis Time for a March 2020 Hatch-a-long!

7 out now. Last egg doesn't look like it's doing anything. I'll let them dry then take them out and check the last egg... Will let kids set the other eggs later.

Three out of three silkies are out! I did have to assist the two that pipped the wrong end, and one is looking like it might be slower to recover, but the other two are looking good! One blue, one maybe blue but it has white on the wings and toes, and one that I'm not sure about - it looks splash, but has pink skin and mottled legs. Thinking it may have come from the breeders crele or cuckoo project.

I have 5 that are going into lockdown tomorrow night, and just might hatch out in time to still be "march" babies - 1 silkie from my grey pen, and four that I'm hoping are from my giant cochins...

I had 9/10 eggs hatch 😁 all dry no water what so ever. My humidity stayed at 20% most of the time. I'm digging how I hatch! Most have feathered legs too.
How much weight do your eggs lose by D18? Asking because mine are on D17 and most have lost over the 13% target, I did a no water whatsoever dry method for the first 14 days then got concerned and have been trying to keep humidity up around 40% which has been harder than anticipated (it has spent more time at 30% and below, even with a sponge in there!). The air cells honestly look okay, though.
