Welcome back Carrie, I hate to hear that about the fires gaining in your area, hope all goes well for you and yours, and I have to ask what is a marine layer? I have an idea but had to ask anyway. Please be safe.

Whats your wind like, has it died down some? I know the fires seemed to be moving north last I checked on San Diego.....
The arrested some folks LOOTING in a san diego subburb - they need to throw the BOOK at those people. (along with the arsonists and the idiots who lit fires without heeding the warnings - the Witch fire was from a camp fire I believe)
It it the Rice fire moving toward you? (or is it the PooMacha?)I will keep you in my thoughts for a safe night and for the firefighters to get a handle on this real soon!

We moved. I've been worried about co-workers and friends and family still there. (hence keeping my eye closly on the news)
SO far, nobody I personally know has lost their home, one friend has a damaged home but its OK, can be fixed...

We were in the 2003 fires in San Diego - and it was HORRIBLE... I was 9 months preg through all that, we had to evacuate etc... it was scary!
