That is how I catch mine in the daylight. I have a large one for catching large fowl and a smaller one for bantams and chicks.Has anyone ever used a large net of some sort to catch chickens in daylight? Was thinking about it the other day, but not sure if it would injure the birds, etc. Would love to hear from someone who has tried this before. thanks!!

Exactly.I'm not much for 'labels' and 'awards'.
Am certainly not an enabler, more of a blunt pragmatist...

Folks, I have a coop and an enclosed run. My chickens don't free range. Are there any secrets to catching chickens so that you can check them out, apply medicine, etc. without causing them too much stress? Out of my batch of chickens, most will come by and allow you to pick them up, etc., but I have two who are very shy and hard to catch. Thanks in advance.
