To Cut or not to cut wings on peafowl

Hi Zazouse ,please help !!! I let my peacocks out and last night they stayed on one of the trees by my garage 4 of them were on one limb and just the white peahen was by herself on another branch , well we dont know what happen but this morning she was on the ground and cant walk at all , what can I do ? She let me hold her and I check for any blood or cuts but everything looks fine ,we dont have any predators at all cause my dog is awake all night and he sleeps by where the peacocks are ,I have a dog like yours and a German sheperd dog .

So sorry for your loss, Peas can hide their illness very well and they can be at deaths door by time we notice something is amiss with them.

Does anyone put out ant poison or anything like that in the area they roam? i lost a bunch of guineas when my daughter put some ant poison by her driveway

even after i told her not to use it, she said she did not think they would eat it, she was wrong, i found evidence of it in every dead and dieing bird, i informed her had her dogs eaten these dead birds they very well could have died also, she finely got the message and started using dish soap and water to get rid of them.

My white peahen died

and we still dont know the cause of it , she looked fine no blood and all of her feathers were untouched but she died

I dont understand she was just fine and happy to be out of the coop and she stayed on a tree last night and in the morning my husband found her laying and couldn walk or move

I was just talking to a friend she asked me what the weirdest thing Ive seen was. I was driving up the I 5 in Cali and low and behold a peacock about 40 ft in the air. I was awestruck. okay maybe it was only 35 Feet but it was crazy awesome. Ive never seen it again or before and even in the wild like most pheasants they RUN. I dont recommend you break its leg either. Jjust wanted to share

At Zazouse : no ant poison around , my husband said that she was in shock for something and that was the reason she died
