My dad is 91 years old... going on 92 years old. He is a locksmith by trade and gets up every morning ready to go to work. He still does service calls, works in his office, runs his chainsaw and splits his own wood. He also tends to my mother who has dementia.

I asked him once what his secret was for a long/healthy life.... he told me, "I take a nap every day." Dad believes that our bodies need a break/rest each day, even if for only 30 minutes. Daddy doesn't always go to sleep, but he lays down and lets his body rest daily. I can remember him doing this when I was a wee child.

TAKE A NAP!!!!

NAP!!!!

I'm about to have one as well... I think it will help keep my mind off other things... and its a healthy idea for my body as well. If you know what I mean.

I have a weird schedule. I'm up at about 8:30 with my tooter bean (sophie) and then I'm up late when my husband gets off work. So if I can get my tooter bean to sleep then I try and squeeze in a nap.... only now she's learned to get out of her crib

and well I'm afraid she'll get hurt while I'm sleeping.....
