It's a crapshoot. Sometimes it works, sometimes it looks like I peeled them with the weedeater.

I thought it was just a problem with fresh eggs. I never had this problems with the ones from the grocery store. My husband thought it might be the shells on the store eggs are very thin and the ones on our eggs from the nest are pretty hard.

I've boiled at least 8 batches of a dozen each using the directions I posted earlier and I haven't had trouble with even one egg. My kids are even able to peel them perfectly.
