Today's temperature = # of eggs.

North-central Arkansas: Low 50's yesterday; low 40's today. We received 2 eggs from 3 pullets (10 months old) both days. I have a heated box (with 40-watt bulb) under the waterer inside the coop, as well as a 40-watt lamp on a timer, which provides light from 4 a.m. until 8 a.m., then again at 4 p.m until 7 p.m. I'm wondering if a 60-watt lamp would be better.

Yesterdays high was around 12 and we had 12 eggs laid today!!! it's our best collection day so far this winter in ohio. We have about 18 layers. Many gray girls, a few blacks and 2 Americanas (momma hen and daughter hen)

My girls went 11 for 11 today. The high was about 32. I have 5 Wyandottes and 6 Plymouth Rocks.

today I got 1 egg from my 5 girls and its 56 degrees. however one week ago it was 79 and I got 4 eggs from my girls! how fickle they seem to be...

31F 11 eggs from 13 Golden Buffs all of which are 20 weeks old. We keep them warm with a heat lamp at night and during the day the gals are allowed free range over an acre of grass.

Northern Minnesota: High of 30 degrees today. How merciful!

1 egg from an EE/ out of 4 laying. They were super busy chooking around in the snow today. No time for egg laying apparently.

Not Laying and on Winter Break 5 hens.

It was approximately 22 degrees today, and I got 6 eggs from my 9 hens and 4 pullets. Not bad considering 6 of my hens are gonna be 5 years old this spring!
