Today's temperature = # of eggs.

Eleven eggs for sure. Ventured out long enough to grab the eggs that were easy to get. High winds (tornado watch), raining buckets, non-stop lightening and thunder - decided I wasn't staying out there any longer than to close up the chicken house and tractors.
Thunder ? Lightning? Tornado Watch? Rain?
Just dumping snow here, finally looks like winter

Tuesday Low: +15F High: +32F 6 eggs
Actually warmer now at midnight: 38F
Supposed to 52F and raining tomorrow then start a downward trend again. Theory says more eggs later in the week than tomorrow

Amy.....BRRRR! That is cold! Pack up the family and chicks and come on down to FL.....it was 80 here today

There is a reason some of us live a bit farther north. I'm not all that fond of 80F in the summer let alone the dead of winter!!

30c yesterday 4 eggs .34c today 3eggs from 10 hens ,5are to young ,don't know the breed ,just calling them countryside mix

33 C or 91.4 F and 4 eggs from four Potchefstroom Koekoeks in Johannesburg South Africa,

Wow! 78 degrees!

Welcome to BYC! I just love that we can visit with folks from all over the world! This is just so cool!

Questions for each of you: Are you native to the countries you are posting from or are you transplants from somewhere else and how long have you been there?

I had similar comments/questions! Great minds think alike. Well, OK, one great mind, and mine.
I love that there are people from all over the world here.

To the new people

We are west northwest Arkansas and we have tornados coming through north of us right now. Headed your way later tonight. Tuck everyone in tight.

High winds (tornado watch), raining buckets, non-stop lightening and thunder - decided I wasn't staying out there any longer than to close up the chicken house and tractors.

Sounds like a VERY wise plan. Never been through a tornado and don't have any desire to.

Low last night was 48 and the day time high was 61 and raining. We only got 4 eggs from 14 hens. Weather should be getting colder tonight to 32 by morning. I hope for better results.

Sounds fun. Are you there for work? Do you live on a floating "junk" (isn't that what they call the houseboats?)? I ask because of your screen name. Is it a small village? How cool! We livedin Spain for a year and I have visited Japan, Guam, Bolivia and Panama. I love learning about other cultures.

Back to the weather, we had thunderstorms and 70 yesterday with 8/17 eggs (one broken and eaten). Someone's shells are a bit soft so I am hopeing this doesn't become a bad habit. Today's hi is predicted to be 47 so according to Bruce I should get more eggs today.
