We are finally getting our normal winter weather hi in mid 40s lo below freezing. I've had 9-12/17 for the past few days. Haven't kept track too closely. Been keeping an eye on one of my banties who is under the weather ( no pun intended)

Ok, so, Inara just does not care for the sight of snow...apparently. Some winter layer she is.

I am going to consider her on hiatus and unknown until she re-establishes her cycle, presumeably when the snow melts next week.

It could also be that she is not pleased that my last two to start, Nandi and Saffron, are using her preferred nest (the hanging basket out in the run) exclusively. But, she's just going to have to get over it if that is the case. I am going to be modifying the nest boxes in the coop in March and see if that helps the nest box preference thing some.

I'm really only expecting one more egg today, from Saffron, and I'll update the chart when she lays it.

march first low at midnight 33 calling for snow tonight and tomorrow saw a few flurries. Feb reprt my little frizze is an egg laying machine she laid 5 eggs in jan all eggs now (feb) fertile she is polish/silkie/ frizzle. and laid 25 eggs Feb all eggs from day one realy hard shells.
