Toddlers are Quackers

what do you run your humidity at? I was wondering after you posted that

lol, that is not the voice you have in my head

Actually depends on what I'm incubating. Bantams I tend to run a bit higher, mutt eggs quite a bit lower, but usually I try to stick around 30%. Currently mine are dry, but still hovering around 34%, but still looking good, so I'm not going to worry about a few percentage points.

Nothing wrong with disagreeing!

I agree! But there are those that think their way is the only way.

And seriously, after watching 8 broodies this season, we really have put way too much thought into the process.... Hell, I moved a broody last night (away from her bitchy sister who decided to stuff her butt in the nest box in the past few days). When I pulled her out, 3 chicks had hatched, the other had pipped. When I went out this morning, the last one had hatched too. So disturbing her, allowing air to get to the pip, jostling the eggs around... didn't hurt that pretty little chicklet!!

Yep, at lockdown I run around 65-70%, and I don't worry if it jumps up to 85% while they are hatching.

This one was the first that hatched yesterday (nice birthday present, dontcha think?)
Chocolate orpington momma, OEGB chick.

And I took this pic, this morning in her new location!

Happy belated birthday.
You hurt my feelings. I will not tell you what I see when I look at you. :P See Liz's comment. But, yeah. For the most part. Don't edit. You may be the only one that is right. :th Don't get me started!
Sorry for hurting your feelings.

Agree, and when my OEGB Reynbow was sitting, another hen pushed her out of the box as the egg was pipping, so it got left out without a momma!! I found it fairly quickly, stuck it under momma, and it was fine. Phew!
