Sigh...went out and one of my tolbunt hens lay stiff as a board on the ground under the roost. Next to her lay a rubbery egg. I guess she is going to be listed as dead at POL. RATS! She was pretty too.
Yes and now I am nervous for the others!
Thses look like perfectly normal polish eggs to me. Some say the pointed eggs are more likely male, I am not sure that is true. Did you candle the eggs to check the air cell. Many of the eggs look to be laid by one layer, the aircell would let you know if the eggs are from a small flock and have been saved up to ship.Anyone here have experience hatching tolbunt polish? I ordered a few off ebay. Is it normal for them to be very elongated? I don't know if its limited gene pool or what but I feel like I've been suckered and given the rejects. Any tips on hatching these torpedoes?

Those look like normal polish eggs to me too. Have y.ou had polish eggs before? They are not round.
I have a buff lace polish and her eggs are good size and normal shape, just like my wyandottes. It would appear that the air cell is in place. They were shipped and packed well and clearly marked. I hope that a good percent (or all) hatch. These chickens are so incredibly lovely and i want my own flock so bad!
