Tolbunt Polish

Breeding two frizzles is not recommended. 25% would be smooth feathered, 50% would be frizzles, and 25% would be double frizzles or curlies. These poor birds with two frizzle genes have brittle feathers that break off leaving it naked.

Thanks, once again, for explaining. I've just heard that you weren't supposed to do it. But I always am interested to know why! :-0

Just don't do it. You will get sizzles and they have a tendency of dying. Just go smooth x frizzle. You have better chances of getting frizzles which are valued about ten dollars more than smooths. But the chances are 50/50.

Is this a Tolbunt or Candy Corn?

Is anyone located in central Oregon? Im going down there with some of my stock and I am also looking to add onto my tolbunt flock. Eggs, chicks, pullets, hens, pairs. I will take them all. Its a five hour trip to this chicken swap and I am hoping to get more tolbunts. Please Pm me if you are along the way from Shelton WA to Central Oregon. I will also bring other breeds and I will consider trade. Thank you
