I live less than an hour from them....hmmmm

do it do it do it!!! haha--I can live through you until I can hatch my own:) I didnt see alot of birds on their website though. One hen and one roo:( Is that all they have for breeding at this point?

I don't know...I contacted them earlier this fall or maybe during the summer and they said they didn't have any available and to check back in the spring. Maybe their's started laying! Mine have not yet started although he is crowing and making mating attempts. She has occasionally checked out the nesting boxes but all mine are coming off a moult and out of 11 hens I get one to three eggs now and they are mostly from the two seramas and the one shamo that is laying. I would really be tempted as I only have the one pair of pure and they are both frizzled and then I have the one pair of f1 crosses. I think I could use a bump in numbers and a tad of diversity (not that there is much in the tolbunts). I just hate starting with day olds and having to get them through winter....even a Florida winter.

if they have the proper Tolbunt coloring they should be colored like a GL but will be hiding the mottling gene.

Ooops! Thanks. I missed the together part. The link I posted (I think) was GLx tolbunt back to tolbunt.

Yea, if the genetics are right from the GLx Tolbunt cross and theyre crossed back to a Tolbunt you should get half Tolbunt and half split.

This thread has been quiet for awhile... what's going on out there in Tolbunt world?

NOTHING!!!! I don't think my tolbunt will ever lay.....ACK! Ms. Ugly, the moth eaten, cross beaked silkie is laying EVERY DAY but not the tolbunt....oh no, not her! LOL Actually Ms. Ugly is the only one other than the seramas and shamos that is laying...but it is hard to be patient.

I've only got a few Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas laying... we're getting maybe 3 or 4 eggs daily, from about 40 mature hens.

Where did you get them?

From a lady on here. I am pretty sure she has now sold all her tolbunt. We thought they were both pullets but one was a roo.
