Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Well if he’s anything like my hubby he only glances at the bator. He doesn’t obsessively stare at it like me, AKA the chicken possessed one:D
He probably took a quick look and said "Yup, still look like eggs" 😂 he loves the chicks though! He's always playing with them and holding them. He knows nothing about incubating except that his wife grows chickens 😂 that's his saying "My wife grows chickens" everyone thinks he's hilarious.

Here is a picture of progress from we’ll call noon (close enough). And I for sure heard chirping from this egg because it chirped and rocked at the same time. So if it’s chirping that means it’s getting air correct?View attachment 2020563

It's hatching from the smaller end of the egg. It must have turned itself around in there.

Pipped on the wrong end, but don't worry. Must has read the map wrong 🙈 I had one like this too and it was perfectly fine. It came out by itself and I called it directionally challenged. It must be a cockerel 😂 couldn't ask for directions and got lost

That's what I say about any that end up having poopy butt's. It's got to be a cockerel, and I seem to be right about that. I don't know why it happen's to be like that.

It looks to me like the pip is through the membrane as well and the shell and I don't see any red so it missed all of the blood vessels down there. I'm always impressed when a chick pips upsidedown and missed all of those!

My husband insists he doesn't like chickens but he likes to watch when they're hatching and I always catch him hanging out with the chicks in the brooder, lol. He also built them a fort knox chicken run that I wouldn't be able to get into if it didn't have a handle.
