Too Early for Feb Hatch-A-Long Thread??

Now...to make room for the new incubator. 🤔:lau

It might be time for the Hovabator to go...it's just so big. I could fit two other incubators in place of it. View attachment 2021662

Nice setup! I just have one incubator and it's on the floor by the guinea pig cage. One day I want to clean out the garage and make part of it for incubating and brooding, part for gardening, and the rest for building stuff. My mom had to move in with us last year in a hurry so the garage is full of her stuff all haphazard like. She's not currently living with us but her stuff still is. 😭 Half my bedroom has her things in it too.

Too cute! Yep, I definitely need a frizzle in my life. lol
I love frizzles. I've got a bantam frizzles cochin roo named MC Kittenpants. Most of his chicks end up frizzled. He's made some cool looking frizzled showgirls.

Love him!! My friend had a frizzle rooster (Fabio) over her mixed flock and he also threw out a TON of frizzles! A Frizzle roo seems to be the way to go when you're hoping to hatch frizzle babies!

So I was watching this video for a completely different reason but right at 0:37 seconds it just happens to show a little Silkie with a perfectly placed little strip of med wrap as an example for you! 🥰

Perfect! I did exactly that but I think I could have bound them together a little more than I did. Ill check tomorrow and maybe make it a little tighter. I left the little chickie in the bator because tomorrow morning Im getting two or three more silkie friends for her. When I put her in the brooder she was chirping and chirping and seemed distressed. I stuffed a sock with batting and tied it off so she could snuggle against it and I put a mirror so she would think there was another chick there. Picking but some 4 day old silkies tomorrow morning for her to have company.

Once I have these two batches of babies hatched and settled in I think I may take a chance and order some eggs from Gypsy Hen. I really try to avoid shipped eggs but she has some bantams I haven't seen near me and I think I need some more tiny chickens. 😍
Plus I just won this auction on the Brinsea incubator so I need to test it out, lol.
I really don't have much experience but I love my brinsea mini.

The main thing that has kept me loyal to Brinsea is that three-year unconditional guarantee. I can’t tell you that the machines have been error-free but their customer service has always taken care of me. I like having many incubators of different sizes so their line just works for me.
Which brinsea's do you have? I have the mini II advance. I was kind of thinking of getting the Maxi. or another bigger one.

Thank you. I used vet wrap. Worked well but may have to make her legs a bit closer when I replace it tomorrow. Already seems to be helping.

Sometimes it only takes 2-3 days. I've only had a couple chicks with splay leg but I had a peachick with the worst case and I thought for sure it would take a week, 3 days and she was doing great!

Yes!! Buff laced with frizzle split so praying for a curly!!
I have been trying for Polish for years. Never can find any hatching eggs or chicks so last year I broke down and got some from a hatchery. All the girls perished within 24 hours of arriving and all the survivors (I think 7) were all boys!
